Concepts

Page	Summary
Concepts/Facility	A hospital, clinic, health center, or other place that provides care to patients — the top-level unit that holds departments, users, patients, and encounters.
Concepts/Department	A group inside a facility — a ward, a clinical team, or an administrative unit. Departments form a hierarchy, and Care models them on the FHIR Organization resource.
Concepts/Location	A physical place inside a facility — a building, a ward, a room, or a bed. Locations sit inside one another and form a hierarchy.
