Flows/Turn on two-factor authentication

From OHC Network Wiki
flowaccess-governanceCARE 3.0+

Overview

Add time-based one-time-password authentication to your own user account.

Pre-requisites

  • You are signed in as yourself.
  • You have an authenticator app and know your password.

Steps

1. Open security settings

On your profile, find Two Factor Authentication and select Enable two-factor authentication.

2. Confirm password

Enter your current password and select Continue.

3. Add the account

Scan the QR code in your authenticator app, or use Copy setup key.

4. Verify

Enter the generated six-digit code and select Verify Code.

5. Save backup codes

Copy, download, or print the backup codes, then select Done. Regenerating codes invalidates the old set.

6. Disable later

From the same card, select Disable 2FA, enter your password, and confirm.

Expected Outcome

Care requests an authenticator code at sign-in and provides recovery codes.
