Flows/Assign a role to a user

Overview

Link an existing user to an Organization, Supplier, Responsibility, or Department and grant a role.

Pre-requisites

The user has a Care account.
You can manage users in the target group.

Permissions

Permission	Access
Can Manage Users in an Organization	Organization, Supplier, or Responsibility.
Can Manage Users in a Facility Organization	Department.

Steps

1. Open Users

Open the target from Admin → Organizations → Governance, Suppliers, or Responsibilities; for a department, use Facility → Settings → Departments. Select Users.

2. Link the user

Select Link User. Search by name, username, or phone number, then select the person.

3. Select a role

Choose a role matching the context: Government Organization for organizations and suppliers, Responsibility for responsibilities, or Facility for departments.

📝 Note

You can grant only a role whose permissions you also hold.

4. Save

Select Link to Organization, or Add to Organization for a department.

Expected Outcome

The Users tab lists the person with the selected role and grants its permissions in that scope.
